Privacy policy

What stays on your device

Everything you type into the comparison — loan balance, interest rate, loan types, income, filing status, family size, dependents, PSLF status and your notice date. The calculation engine is JavaScript running in your browser. These values are held in memory and, so the printable plan can read them back, in your browser's session storage. They are not transmitted to us and are cleared when you close the tab.

What we do collect

Your email address, but only if you ask for deadline reminders. We store it with the deadline date you entered, purely to send those reminders. We do not sell it, share it, or add you to a marketing list.

Payment records, if you buy the action plan. Payment is processed by PayPal — we never see or store your card details. We keep the PayPal order ID and the email address attached to the payment, so we can confirm your access and handle refunds.

A sign-in cookie after purchase. It is cryptographically signed, contains only your order ID and email, and is what unlocks the paid plan on return visits.

Who else is involved

• Netlify hosts the site and records standard server logs, including IP addresses.
• Supabase stores reminder subscriptions and payment records.
• PayPal processes payments under its own privacy policy.
• Resend delivers reminder emails.

There is no general analytics tracking on this site.

Advertising measurement

When we run advertising, this site loads the Reddit advertising pixel, a tracking technology used to measure and optimise those campaigns. It records that a visit, a completed comparison, a reminder signup or a purchase occurred, and shares those events with Reddit so we can tell which ads brought people who found the tool useful.

Your loan balance, income, family details and results are never included. Those figures never leave your browser at all, so there is nothing for an advertising pixel to collect. What Reddit receives is the event, a timestamp, your IP address and browser details — the same information any website receives — and, for a purchase, the amount.

The pixel is only present while a campaign is running. Blocking it with an ad blocker or browser privacy settings does not affect the tool in any way — every feature works identically.

Deleting your data

Email rogercramey@gmail.com and we will delete your reminder subscription and payment record. There is nothing else to delete, because we never held your financial details in the first place.

Children

This tool is for adults repaying federal student loans. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
